"Open your eyes".....with Passion Pictures.
In this 30 second spot for Opticalm the audience sees the world in a CGI and Live Action quadrophenia, shaped through the motif of a pupil and eye. Working with Director Adam Parry, I storyboarded the frames to show daily irritants pupils are subjected to. The sequence then reveals the hero and an eye, in a singular resonant clarity......."abre los ojos, abre los ojos".....

Professor Stephen Hawking stars in this 60 Second TV Spot for Go Compare with Moxie Pictures.
Working with Directing Duo Big Red Button, I Storyboarded this TV Commercial depicting an original opening among the Spires and Quadrangles of Cambridge University. Filming at his actual Lecture Theatre, The Professor, utilises his knowledge of a compacting mass, to deform space-time outside an Estate Agents. Creating a Black Hole with an event horizon, from which, there is no escape for Gio......

Sir David Attenborough's "Flying Monsters 3D"....
Last year I worked on a Sir David Attenborough Imax film for Atlantic Productions due for release this spring called "Flying Monsters 3D". Charting the evolution of flight through the family tree of Pterosaurs this Live Action/CGI Show was shot with stereoscopic Red Cameras with extensive sequences of Photo-realistic Creature Animation. Hired as a Storyboard Artist, I participated in Story Sessions with Matthew Dyas, the Director and Tim Cragg, the D.o.p. While under the auspices of James Prosser as VFX Producer, I also created some drawings and digital paintings for the team at Fido Visual FX led by Staffan Linder as Animation Supervisor in their building of these immersive environments. A Coffee and Chat with Two "Barbarians"...
I was drawing in Flat White Coffee Shop, when the two Guys sitting next to me put in a request for a Sketch of themselves. Casually chatting, I asked if they'd watched the Autumn Rugby Internationals they said, ".........yeah mate, we played in them!" They turned out to be Andy Ellis of the New Zealand All Blacks and Will Genia of Australia, on a break before playing for the Barbarians against South Africa at Twickenham! It was a pleasure to meet them and chat about the England Team, their favourite player that inspired them and wether they would ever play in England or France. Thanks for the coffee guys, congratulations on beating South Africa and good luck in next years World Cup!
